Traditional Market

Posted by Joyce Chen 許陳 明正 on March 8, 2007

I am really settling down here in Kaohsiung.
That means I have finished unpacking all my boxes (100 of them).
Yesterday, I even went to a traditional market, which is about 20 minutes away by walking, to get a chicken.
I consider this is an adventure.
Bravely, I told the store owner that I would like to buy a chicken.
He picked one for me and started the “butchering” process right in front of me. Ah….
I will save the details for it is just too bloody.
Nonetheless, I had a big bowl of chicken soup on my dinner table.
It tasted very good; nothing like the chicken soup in the States which somehow just not rich in flavor (I mean chicken flavor, if you know what I mean.).
Well, I am writing my thesis all day long everyday, since there are only two months to the day of my presentation (doom day or D-day).
May the Lord have mercy on me!
